    CNC Machinist (Canby, Oregon)

    CNC Machinist

    Cascade Engineering Technologies is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist. Currently we are seeking applicants for all shifts on swing and 3-12 weekend shift. There will be an initial training period of up to 8 weeks on dayshift. We offer excellent growth opportunity, stable contracts and a competitive benefit and salary.

     

    Qualifications:

        • 3+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC Machines
        • Experience on 4 and 5 axis machine centers
        • Machining of Aerospace parts and materials preferred
        • Experience machining investment castings for the Aerospace Industry a plus
        • Ability to follow detailed work instruction
        • Knowledge of Aerospace blueprints and GD&T
        • Ability to prepare cutting tools and fixtures at set-up
        • Monitor, adjust, replace and reset cutting tools as needed without assistance
        • Verify part conformance to specifications using inspection equipment
        • Maintain schedule and perform critical work assignments
        • Maintain a safe, clean and organized workspace
        • Perform other duties as assigned

    Above all, the ability to pay close attention to detail and take pride in producing quality parts.

    Work as part of a team to accomplish company goals and objectives.

    Able to stand an entire shift and lift 40 lbs. repetitively and up to 70 lbs. occasionally.

    CNC Programmer

      • Cascade Engineering Technologies is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer. We offer excellent growth opportunity, stable contracts and a competitive benefit and compensation package.

    The CNC Programmer is responsible for the development of manufacturing processes. They are responsible for the development and validation of CNC programs. This requires interface with the Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.

     

    Responsibilities and Duties

        • Create machining methodology to meet configuration requirements including tooling and fixturing.
        • Create CNC programs using MasterCam and / or Catia software.
        • Verify CNC programs using Vericut and / or MasterCam backplot software.
        • Verify machining process (prove-out).
        • Provide input for creation of manufacturing plans.
        • Document setup and tools for creation of work instructions.
        • Aid in cost estimates for new product or projects
        • Perform other duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications

        • BS in Engineering or equivalent work experience preferred.
        • 5 years manufacturing and basic tooling experience.
        • Experience with CNC programming software (MasterCam, Catia, Vericut, Etc.…)
        • Analytic skills necessary to interpret product requirements from engineering drawings & technical documents.
        • GD&T skills required.
        • Knowledgeable in math including trigonometry.
        • Good Communication and interpersonal skills.
        • Thorough understanding of aerospace manufacturing and best practices preferred.
        • Machining background preferred.
        • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
        • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products.
        • Able to work independently and within a team environment.
        • Multi Axis experience required.
        • Experience in mentoring and coaching all levels of machinist preferred.

    Assembly Worker

      • Cascade Engineering Technologies is seeking an experienced assembler to complete assembly of Aerospace parts. We offer excellent growth opportunity, stable contracts and a competitive benefit and salary.

     

    Qualifications

    • Experience in using hand tools including drill motors and reamers to exacting requirements is a must.
    • Ability to assemble Aerospace components. Including installation of nutplates, fasteners, aerospace seals, bearings and bushings.
    • Ability to apply aerospace sealants uniformly to mate surfaces of parts and seals.
    • Knowledge of and ability to comprehend Aerospace Engineering specifications.
    • Must be able to read and follow work instructions.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints a plus.
    • Perform inspection of precision parts using calipers and micrometers.
    • Ensure all parts paperwork and documentation is completed properly.
    • Enter all data and measurements on record sheets as required.
    • Inspect finished work to required specification.
    • 1 year of hand metalworking in Aerospace Mfg. or related field.

    This is a full time dayshift position with hours ranging from 7:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M. Monday – Friday. Salary is DOE.

    Required education: High school or equivalent

    Fixture Department Manager

      • Cascade Engineering Technologies is seeking a Fixture Department Manager who will report to the Director of Engineering. Cascade offers excellent growth opportunity, stable contracts and a competitive benefit and salary.

     

    Job Overview

    Cascade’s Fixture Department is a multidisciplinary team responsible for the design and manufacturing of fixtures, tools, and jigs used for production operations performed at CET.  The staff is comprised of CAD designers, manual machinists, CNC machinists, and CNC programmers.   It is the Fixture Department Manager’s responsibility to lead this team and ensure projects meet their objectives.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Oversee design, manufacturing, and qualification of fixturing and tooling.
    • Assess new projects and determine resources required to complete them.
    • Organize, prioritize, and assign tasks to department employees.
    • Manage department project schedules and budgets
    • Manage internal and external inventory of CET controlled tooling and fixturing. Perform regular inventory audits and provide reports to CET customers as required.
    • Responsible for adequate storage and preservation of tools and fixtures.
    • Report status of department activities to upper management
    • Ensure alignment of department activities with company objectives
    • Provide cost estimates for fixtures to assist with the quoting process.
    • Facilitate collaboration with interested team members on designs to ensure requirements and expectations are met.
    • Manage recruiting, training, development, and discipline of employees.
    • Order raw materials and stock for tools and fixtures
    • Coordinate OSP activities such as grinding, black oxide, and anodizing for tools and fixtures
    • Support technical documentation of function and use of tool designs.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • BS in engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
    • Ability to supervise, evaluate, hire and discipline personnel.
    • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and mentor teams.
    • Ability to work well with people at all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to effectively prioritize duties and be self-directing.
    • Ability to effectively coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Analytic and computer skills, including use of Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong experience using Microsoft Project preferred.
